John Sevier Hunter Education Center

4 of our members went down to the Grafton range today to shoot in a social day. There were shooters from Armidale, NEGS and TAS there as well. Armidale and Grafton shooters were competing for the ' Wollomumbi Stump'.
It was a fantastic day for all and it was especially pleasing to see the number of junior shooters (16 in all) that took part from the 4 clubs that were there, and there are some serious up and coming talent amongst those juniors.
The shooting program was 10 shots at 300 yds and 15 shots at 500 yds.
Armidale won the 'Stump' and our sincere thanks go to the Grafton Rifle Club for putting on a really brilliant day of shooting. Thoroughly Enjoyed!!!

[07/18/17] Electronic Sign-on system is LIVE!
Tomorrow morning will see the system put through its paces at the Wednesday General Shoot which is an excellent testing ground as that shoot provides a great diversity of shooters in attendance.
To start, the system will be a little slower than expected however over time we expect the system to provide enhanced speed and reporting and record attendances in real time for members.
This system will be trialled at the 300m multi-purpose range to commence with.
The committee thanks all members in advance for their patience while we implement and test this system that was started by our own Angus Halliday (Northern Rivers Branch Junior Vice President). Northern Rivers Branch is one of a limited group chosen to test this system and provide recommendations and feedback to SSAA NSW before the system is rolled out across member branches.
